In the past, Quiet Hill Ranch has worked especially well for family reunions, friends and also church retreats. Here's why. Three separate one room log cabins are perched on the crest of Quiet Hill overlooking a gorgeous valley. The cabins are equipped alike with one queen, one full and a full sized futon. All cabins have satellite TV, in room coffee, full bath w/shower, heat and air, ceiling fans, a small fridge, a porch w/bench and a tremendous view. Soap, towels and linens are provided.

The separate, log main lodge has it all. The Lodge's Ranch Room has a rugged fireplace, old timey ranch furniture, dining tables and chairs, piano, toy box, books, games, puzzles and articles written on the history of the Doss Valley. The Lodge's Ranch Kitchen is complete in every way. Two gas ranges, triple sink, full size fridge, freezer, two coffee makers, micro, toaster, dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer, pots and pans, utensils, dishes, silverware, an abundance of counter space, a large prep table and plenty of elbow room makes the Ranch Kitchen a popular gathering place. Delicious breakfast fixin's are left for you to prepare at your leisure. The Main Lodge also has a grand porch to enjoy the sweeping views afforded all around. Two restrooms open onto the porch for your convenience.

The ranch complex offers guests a wonderful playground with horseshoes, swing with play tower, slide, basketball goal and Fort Sand Box. The Quiet Hill Pool is fashioned after an old limestone stock tank. The pool is round and is about 26' across and averages about 4' deep. There is a barn that houses a contented flock of chickens which our guests are invited to feed and to gather the eggs which are free for you to use. Behind the barn is the Wildlife Observatory. IT'S AWESOME!!! An 8' x 12' cedar pole observatory with a 6' x 7' glass viewing window and photography ports look onto an absolute spa for birds, deer, turkey and other wildlife. There are sixty acres for you to explore with walking paths and great mountain biking. The county roads just out our drive offer the finest cycling in Texas. Star gazing will dazzle you. The Hill is at 2100' elevation and has no light or air pollution to obstruct the heavens from exposing themselves. Rounding out the complex are picnic tables, a gas grill, charcoaler and campfire rings (which are great for roasting weenies and smores).

Other amenities include catering an massage therapy. Golfing, rock climbing, fishing and bat caves are easily accessible from Quiet Hill Ranch.

Thank you. Thank you for sharing the beauty of your home with us. We've had many visits to The Hill now and they've all been fantastic, but this last visit one stands out. We had an incredible time and that is an understatement! It was so wonderful to see all of you and catch up on a year's time.
